In this Community Focus Series, Dr. Neecey Hudson and Jonathan White chat with pediatrician Dr. Eric A. Yancy about how COVID affects children and how we keep them safe. We discuss the importance of the new vaccines for families, and how to go get registered for vaccination.

Our special guest, Dr. Yancy is a dedicated pediatrician who has been practicing in inner-city of Indianapolis, IN for over 30 years. Dr. Yancy began his practice as a resident in the newborn intensive care unit of Indiana University Medical Center/James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children, the first African-American resident at that hospital. He was named chief resident of Pediatrics in 1979. He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine and a fierce advocate for the health and wellness of his community.
